Canada attracts migrants with its developed economy, progressiveness, and care for its citizens and the environment. The authorities also meet potential residents halfway: today there are more than 60 programs for immigrants in Canada. We will tell you more about them below.

The country offers expats two types of immigration programs: federal and provincial. They provide an opportunity to apply for temporary and permanent residence permits:

    - Federal immigration programs are designed to find qualified professionals under the age of 35. Most of them operate under the Express Entry system: to become one of the candidates, you need to score a certain number of points. The most promising programs are for qualified professionals (especially medical and hospice staff), for blue-collar workers, and those who have 1+ years of experience in Canada.

    - Provincial programs are available in Ontario, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Mantiboa, and Prince Edward Island. Unlike federal programs, provincial immigration programs have fewer requirements and may provide financial assistance.

    - The Atlantic Immigration Program is a pilot project that aims to attract workers to 4 Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island), which are not popular due to their remoteness.

    - The Quebec program is suitable for those who speak French well. The selection of candidates is also based on a point system, but due to the lower prevalence of the French language, competition in this program is lower than in English-speaking programs.

    - The program for nannies and caregivers is one of the simplest in terms of requirements. However, it is also one of the most competitive due to the low qualifications of candidates and the low entry threshold.

    - Startup visa. This program is designed for start-up entrepreneurs who create innovative products, are competitive, ready to grow rapidly, and have already attracted investments or enlisted the support of business incubators.

Please note! Programs are the easiest and most convenient way to legalize your residence in Canada. They have options for all popular reasons for obtaining a residence permit, including family reunification.

What difficulties may arise when immigrating to Canada?

Although the Canadian authorities are quite transparent and precise about the requirements for immigrants in a separate list, collecting and submitting the necessary paperwork to participate in immigration programs is often difficult. In particular, it is necessary to

    - study and analyze a huge amount of data before applying for the program in order to choose the most suitable option

    - document your work experience and level of education, legalize relevant certificates and diplomas, and provide a language proficiency certificate

    - undergo a full medical examination, provide relevant certificates, and, in addition, a certificate of no criminal record. In some cases, similar documents must also be provided by the candidate's family members (for example, for his/her participation in a nursing program);

    - confirm the availability of a minimum amount of funds in your account for living in the country (depending on the program, the amount ranges from 12000 to 16000 Canadian dollars, which is approximately 9000-15000 US dollars).

Despite all these aspects, it is possible to move to Canada. The country's authorities annually set out an immigration plan, the figures of which range from 300 thousand to half a million people a year.

In particular, by 2025, the country wants to accept almost one and a half million migrants. Read more about this here.
